3歳でも操れるiPhone
娘がiPhoneを自由に操っている。いろんなゲームをやるのはもちろん、絵文字を入力してメールだって送ってしまうし、YouTubeで幼児向け番組を次から次へと見続ける。検索だけは私に指示する。「おかあさんといっしょを検索」と。関連動画機能はすごいもので、娘は見るのを止められなくなる。なかなか表示されないと、「なんか読み込むのが遅い」と怒る。
写真も自分で撮影する。知らないうちに撮っている。過去に撮った写真をめくって満足げだ。実家に行けばそれをジジババに見せて反応を楽しむ。Safariを立ち上げて、ブックマークからこのブログを開き、自分の写真をズームする。小さい指で軽快操作。2ヶ月前に3歳になったばかりだけど、その前から自然に使えている。
特段操作を教えているわけではないのに、2歳、3歳の子供が直感的扱えるというのは、やはりそのインターフェースがすごいんだろうと思う。WindowsMobileやBlackberrryならさすがに使えないんじゃなかろうか。使えない方がいいという話もあるけども。
先日はとうとうお客さんにメールしてしまった。タイトルに「にゅらゆな」とだけ書いて…。
その娘は最近、朝、自ら鏡の前に立ち化粧をはじめた。母親のマネをして、バンドで髪を留めて目の周りを薄くキラキラさせて幼稚園のバスに乗り込む。「大きくなったら手と足にかわいいネイルをするんだ」と言っている。何歳になったら？と聞くと「5歳」と答える。
いったいどんな人間になるんでしょうか。

うちの子は絶対にできない。息子がテレビのリモコンで勝手にテレビ番組を録画して見ているけれども、娘は到底無理だと思う。興味もなさそうだし。
